Shipping and Returns

Ship Policy


  • The vast majority of Bikes Online's products ship within 2 to 4 BUSINESS days after the order processes.  Orders process same day for those received before 2:00 CST.

    Example 1:  Order is placed Monday at 1:59 CST. 

    *  This order processes same day and will 2 to 4 days later.

      Example 2:  Order is placed on Monday at 2:01 CST.

    *  This order processes on Tuesday and ships 2 to 4 days later.

  • Please note, stated ship times do not represent when you will receive your order.  Stated ship times DO represent when you order will ship FROM our facilities.
  • If there are items purchased with differing ship dates, your shipment will be the same as the item with the longest ship date.
  • Business Days do not include weekends and holidays.
  • While Bikes Online aggressively strives to meet our shipping goals, on rare occasions a situation may prevent us from doing so. Often times, these conditions are outside of our control, such as with inclement weather.  We will contact you to provide an updated ship date if this were to occur.

  • Return Policy and Conditions

    BikesOnline.com is primarily a non-stocking web retailer.  This means that when an order is placed, we immediately turn around and purchase the product(s) from our distribution suppliers.  The reasons we have chosen this business model and the benefits to our customers are the following:

    • By eliminating the need to build, staff and operate large warehouse facilities, our costs are kept low and we pass these savings to our valued customers
    • You can rest assured that your products are not sitting on a dusty store or warehouse shelf.  Your products are in their original packaging and are ordered just for you.
    • We quote available inventory quantities from information received directly from our suppliers and/or manufacturers.  These inventory numbers are updated on an hourly basis every day.
    • BikesOnline.com is able to offer over 50,000 products due to the adoption of this business model.

    Since we do not inventory products, when a return is received our low cost structure is adversely impacted.  You will find many of these products in our clearance section.  While the products are new they must find also find a new home since they were purchased for a particular customer.  For this reason, BikesOnline.com has adopted the following Returns and Exchanges policy:


    • Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase date.  

    • For orders that have already processed or have been shipped, returns are accepted with a 15% restock fee.  Orders typically process at 2:00 pm CST.  Orders placed after 2:00 pm CST will process the next BUSINESS day.  We will make every attempt to stop the processing of an order if notified in sufficient time to cancel the order,  However, if we are not able to intercept the order, the restocking fee will apply.
    • Customers have 30 calendar days from which to request a Return Authorization AND for the product to be received in our store.

    • Changing your mind or simply just not wanting the product are valid reasons for returns.

    • The following conditions apply to all returns:  

      • Shipping is non-refundable.  For those orders who have received free or reduced cost shipping, the shipping cost that would have been applied to the order had there not been a shipping promotion or offer will be deducted from the refund.  If you would like to know what this amount is, please enter the item(s) in to a shopping cart and click on the "Calculate Shipping & Handling" button and enter your shipping address.

      • All returned items must be received in the original packaging, uninstalled, undamaged, with no missing parts, instructions or accessories, and must be in new/resalable condition.

      • Opened and/or unsealed DVDs and CDs are not returnable unless defective.

      • Products requiring service, either warranty or otherwise, should be returned directly to the appropriate manufacturer.  We will be happy to assist with this process if needed.

      • Returned items that have suffered physical damage by customer or courier will NOT be accepted for any reason.

      • Refunds for credit card purchases will be credited back to the original credit card, only. Refunds for cash or check will be mailed to the original customer.

        If a return is found to be counter to the returns and exchanges policy, then the package will be refused.  If the package is accepted, but is later found to fall outside the Returns and Exchange policy, the customer must pay shipping in order to have the package re-shipped to the shipper.

    • Process for Returns 

      • Login to your Account using your email address and password

      • Request approval for Return.  Your return request will be processed within 1 business day.  Refunds typically take 1 week from the approval date to be processed.  It is common for your credit card company to take another 3 to 6 days to process it on their end and for you to see the refund on your bank account.

      • Those approved requests should return the package(s) to:

    • Process for Exchanges
      • Exchanges are treated as new Product returns combined with a new order. Customer should place a new order and request a Return authorization for the item(s) being returned.  Upon receipt of the returned item, we will reconcile payment.  

    Terms for Free Shipping Offer ($150 minimum purchase):

    The goal of our promotion is to lower the total purchase cost, which includes the item cost and shipping, for our customers.

    Some certain products, due to their size and/or weight are simply too expensive to ship for free. At this time, the site does not have the capability to specify which products are eligible for the promotion.  Therefore, every order will be given free shipping at checkout.  

    However, some items such as Bikes, Repair Stands, Heavy Racks, Tools, Wheelsets, and others, do not qualify for the offer.  In this case, you will receive contact from Bikes Online indicating that the item does not qualify for free shipment.  You will be given a shipping quote.  You can either accept this quote and continue with your order or you are also welcome to decline this offer and cancel your order.   

    Additionally, this offer is exclusively for the 48 US domestic states.  Alaska, Hawaii and International locations will receive our standard low ship rate.

    For returned items that are purchased under our Free Shipping promotion:  The returned amount will be reduced by the shipping cost that would have been paid without the promotion.  In order to figure out this amount, you can use the shipping calculator found in the shopping cart or you can call us and we will be happy to tell you what this amount is.

    Shipping Services:

    The default shipping provider for free shipping is USPS First Class Mail.  These shipment typically take 3 days to get to the receipient from the time of shipment.  For orders that exceed the service's limitations, depending on the total weight, either USPS Priority, FedEx Ground or UPS Ground will be utilized.

    Plesse note:  USPS First Class Mail does not provide tracking numbers.
