Rocky Mountain Vertex RSL, Vertex 950, and Element 930 Demos are in! View the Pics!

Thats right, the new 2012 Rocky’s have arrived! We felt the best way to find out how great these new Rocky Mountain designs are was to invest in a demo program to let our customers experience it for themselves. So come on by and try one out!

Rocky Mountain Element 930 29er

Rocky Mountain Element 29ers are receiving some of the best reviews for cross country riding and racing. This bike is equipped with a 10 speed SRAM X7 drivetrain paired with Avid Elixir 3 Hydraulic Brakes. For efficient handling and pedaling performance, Element 930 has RockShox Recon 100mm fork and 95mm Monarch rear shock. Front and rear thru-axle hubs and a tapered steerer give the Element 930 responsive handling.  Rocky’s efficient Smoothlink Suspension system, using (ABC) Angular Bushing Concept™ pivots, saves weight while increasing durability over traditional cartridge bearings. This bike is ready to rip up any trail in Austin and beyond!
Available in Size M (17”) and Size L (18.5)

Rocky Mountain Vertex RSL 970

The myth that a 29er can’t handle tight terrain ends here with Rocky’s new RTC (Race Tuned Compact) geometry. Not only does this bike feature some of the smartest carbon technology like Smoothwall interior and exterior construction, but it also utilizes internal cable routing, a BB92 bottom bracket shell,  142mm x 12mm rear thru-axle, and has chainstay and down tube chain-drop plates to protect the frame. If you are looking for the race bike of your dreams that can still be ridden hard every time you hit the trail, look no further!  Comes equipped with an X9 drivetrain, Formula RX brakes, and a Reba 100mm travel fork with 15mm thru-axle.
Available in Size L (18.5)

Rocky Mountain Vertex 950

Our top of the line Aluminum Hardtail 29er! This bike comes equipped with a Rockshox Reba 100mm fork, SRAM X.9 10spd drivetrain and Formula RX brakes. With features like a tapered steerer and 15mm thru axle fork combined with Rocky’s ST3 geometry this bike is fast and super stable while still being nimble enough for technical terrain! Custom formed tubing and S – Bend seatstays make the bike durable, efficient, and comfortable.
Available in Size M (17)

Rocky Hill Wild Fire Fundraiser Group Ride

Hi all,

Come on out this Saturday to Rocky Hill Ranch and ride!!

Proceeds benefit the wildfire victims in Bastrop County. So far we’ve got a nice mix group of riders going so it will be fun and we may split up in to a couple different pace groups! All groups will be no drop groups and we’ll ride till we can’t ride no mo’!  FYI: Helmets are required at all times while on the bike at Rocky Hill. We’ll be leaving Austin at 8:00 and arriving at approx: at 9. In the past I’ve gotten there in 45 min.

Follow this link for directions or come carpool from the shop and follow us there at 8.

From Austin:
Take Hwy. 71 EAST toward Bastrop. In Bastrop, you will go over the Colorado River bridge and come to an intersection with traffic light. Go straight at the light toward Smithville. The highway becomes Hwy 95 SOUTH to Smithville. Watch for a brown Texas Parks sign for Buescher State Park/ Hwy 153. Take the first exit for Smithville and turn left at the stop sign. Continue down Hwy 153 for 2.3 miles from Hwy. 71, past the Buescher State Park entrance. Shortly, you will see the entrance to Rocky Hill Ranch on your left, marked by Texas flags on rock columns.
